- British Turntable Boosts the Brand
Brand boosted by British Turntable
Ford dealerships across the world are designing movement from British Turntable into their showrooms to create an attractive and eye-catching showcase for their vehicles. Two impressive showrooms featuring movement include the main dealerships in Edinburgh and Amsterdam, who are using 5m diameter revolving stages built into a special plinth and decked in an attractive beech veneer effect.
Arjen Oosterwal of Automobiel Industrie Amsterdam is delighted with the effect. "A turntable is still one of the best ways to display our vehicles; by following Ford's brand concepts our showrooms can look really stylish while attracting our customers, stimulating their imagination and, of course, reinforcing the Ford brand as a world leader."
Turntables are an internationally recognised selling tool for the showroom, increasing sales by creating the excitement of a motor show in the display area. Founded in 1959 on a single request for a car turntable, British Turntable has enjoyed a long association with the motor industry and has supplied most of the major car manufacturers world wide. During its 45-year long history, the company has developed a wide range of revolves, many of which have been specifically developed for automotive display, not just for the showroom, but also for exhibitions, car launches and special promotions.
Virtually invisible in operation, the Merlin Major 21 allows cars to be rotated as if by magic. Robust, compact, versatile and extremely cost-effective, it is totally portable, and can be used outdoors (on the forecourt, for example) operating from the car's own 12 volt battery. The Merlin Major 21's portability also makes it ideal for special displays, shows, and car launches or even in the local shopping centre.
With its decorative deck and kerb surround the Olympian full platform turntable, at 4.5m diameter, has carved a distinctive niche for itself in showrooms and exhibitions across the world because it combines elegance with ease of installation. This attractive, low profile (120mm), completely stable revolve does not require a pit to be dug into the showroom floor and is extremely portable. It can therefore be moved around the display or launch area to change focus and mood for special displays and launches.
The revolving stage, available as a standard unit in diameters up to 10m, is ideal for larger prestige marques. Used as a flush-fitting revolve or mounted above the showroom floor, the turntable will completely encircle the car for the ultimate in style and sophistication. A flush-fitted unit will also allow vehicles to be moved round the showroom to create new displays with the minimum of disruption to the sales area.
