British Turntable Grand Prix Winners
British Turntable has served up a couple of winners for the Macau Grand Prix Museum, where two Olympian 4.5 automotive display turntables and a Cyclone Bullet motorcycle turntable are now keeping their classic collection of racing cars and bikes on the move.
The installation of the turntables has been part of a major renovation and modernisation of the museum to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Grand Prix in Macau and to pay tribute to those such as Ayrton Senna, Teddy Yip, Paul du Toit, Laurel, John Corsmit and many others who have contributed extensively to its success.
Mr Ashok Vadgama of the Macau company, AG. COM Ar-Veen Import & Export recommended and purchased the turntables for the museum as the smooth, continuous movement would not only imitate the concept of Grand Prix action and exhilaration, but would also provide a contemporary and attractive way to display the racers. The result is a stylish, elegant and eye-catching focal point to the display area that allows visitors to view the cars and motorcycle from all angles.
The turntable units were chosen from British Turntable's extensive portfolio of standard vehicle display revolves. The Olympian 4.5 is a particularly versatile unit as the attractive, above-the-floor full platform revolve can be moved around the display area to present different vehicles or to create a special one-off exhibition or promotion. Supplied complete with a 19mm fire-retardant deck and static curb surround, the Olympian 4.5 provides an eye-catching, low profile and stable revolving display that will enhance any interior environment.
The versatile and fully portable Cyclone range of turntables, which includes the Bullet and the smaller Surf model, were originally designed to help motorcycle showrooms display new, special or promotional bikes in a more eye-catching way than might otherwise be achieved. Because of their shape they take up very little space, and are particularly useful as window displays to attract passers-by. As the Macau Grand Prix Museum has found, however, they are equally at home in the heritage environment.
Olympian and Cyclone turntables have also scored hits at product launches and at major automotive and motorcycle exhibitions in the UK and Europe.
