British Turntable Highlights Star Wars
Point of purchase display units from British Turntable have helped famous London toy store, Hamleys create an attractive Star Wars display for the latest film in the epic story. Two PS10 and two USD5 units create an attractive moving asteroid display as a backdrop to the shop-in-shop that has been designed to cope with demand for new Star Wars merchandise.
"Using movement makes it so much easier to create a good-looking, eye-catching display," says Yvette Hanwell, merchandiser for Hamleys. "We use British Turntable units a lot, because they always seem to have just what we need, and they're so reliable. It's a very cost-effective way to attract people's attention, as we've found in the past with displays of Thomas the Tank Engine, Barbie, and many more."
British Turntable has over 40 years' experience of the display industry and now offers more than 100 standard products in the company's portfolio of small display and point of purchase products, opening up a huge array of possibilities for the retail industry to create versatile and cost-effective displays that will increase sales - by more than 30% where movement is used, says POPAI research. Movement options range from simple rotary, pendulum and rocker units, which can be used on their own or combined to create complex integrated displays for added energy and flair, to large diameter multi-level display carousels to exhibit larger items such as white goods and fashion mannequins.
