British Turntable reaches Hong Kong markets
British Turntable Co has entered into a collaboration agreement with GELEC (HK) Ltd, to open up the Hong Kong market for its full range of products.
Initially GELEC will concentrate on the exhibition hire side of the business and will be putting British Turntable products to the test when the first turntables are used at a major electronics exhibition in Hong Kong, ELENEX, which takes place in June 2004.
GELEC is currently very active in the exhibitions industry with its hire service of fork-lift trucks, therefore the sale and hire of turntables and other movement equipment are seen as an ideal complement to this offering. GELEC will then roll out the full range of British Turntable products to areas such as automotive and general retail display, the TV, film and video production industry, leisure markets and ultimately the mechanical handling and vehicle access sectors.
John Entwistle, Managing Director of British Turntable, is delighted with the agreement. "Hong Kong is a popular and buoyant market, with tremendous opportunities for British companies looking to expand their export operations, provided they can find a compatible partner in the area," he says. "We believe we have found this ideal partner in GELEC, and we are extremely optimistic about our future there."
Joseph Rocha, Sales Manager - Building Services Division at GELEC, is equally upbeat, saying: "British Turntable offers a tremendous range of quality products that will be readily accepted in our marketplace. We are looking forward to a bright and successful collaboration meeting the needs of growing commercial markets in Hong Kong."
