British Turntable to the Fore with American Golf

The American Golf Discount Store at Merry Hill in the West Midlands is enjoying a high profile thanks to innovative design from Beach Signs and a revolving sign mechanism from British Turntable.

Sheffield-based Beach Signs used a ST1100 unit to create a highly visible moving symbol for the store, dramatically marking its location in the popular retail park and shopping centre. Part of a general signage scheme for American Golf, the revolving sign comprises a 2m diameter fabricated polished tubular stainless steel frame structure based on the store's famous golf ball logo. Mounted and rotating on the weatherproof revolving sign mechanism, the sign is very eye-catching, creating impact and energy.

John Dyson of Beach Signs is very happy with service he has received. "This is the first time we have used British Turntable products, and I must say everyone is delighted with the result," he says.

The ST1100 revolving sign mechanism is one of British Turntable's standard range of units suitable for outdoor use and is designed for signs requiring a maximum rotary force to rotate them of up to 110 Nm. All sign turntables suitable for outdoor use are fully weatherproofed, reliable and durable, requiring little maintenance, and are therefore ideal for long-term trouble-free use. Slip rings are provided as standard to provide electrical connections on the mechanism for illumination etc, and most units can be built to customer specification if preferred.
