Carnaby Street Showcase for British Turntable

Trend-setting footwear retailer, Koko of Carnaby Street, is demonstrating the effectiveness of using movement in retail design by using ceiling-mounted revolves from British Turntable to showcase their contemporary range of boots and shoes.

Specialist retail designers and installation contractors, Treble Vision chose a number of USD105s turntables to create an eye-catching window display highlighting Koko's innovative range.

Graham Barker of Treble Vision explains, "We have aimed to reflect the contemporary nature of the brands in the outlet with state-of-the-art retail design and a fresh up-to-the-minute interior look, which are much enhanced by the hanging revolving displays. In keeping with the style of the interior we have suspended epoxy powder-coated aluminium tubes poles mounted with 10mm thick glass-effect acrylic shelves from the revolves for a fully integrated, sleek look."

Koko is unique in that it sells as many men's shoes as women's; it is the flagship retail outlet for the new ART range and is the largest independent Dr Marten's stockist in the UK outside the brand's own store. ART and Dr Martens' have been described as two of "the hippest urban brands around".

The ceiling mounted revolves are available as standard from British comprehensive range of retail display turntables and point of purchase movement, which now numbers more than 100 units. Used world wide to help increase sales (by more than 30% over static displays according to POPAI), standard turntable sizes range from 83mm to 10m diameter; all can be used on their own or integrated to create complex, stylish combinations. British Turntable supplies everything needed to create the right display medium, including shelves, poles, collars and fixing nuts.
