Movetech UK solves Yamazaki Mazak’s machine moving problem

When Yamazaki Mazak of Worcester was faced with the problem of moving heavy machinery from one end of the nine loading bays to the other, Movetech UK , the new name for British Turntable, came up with a simple and cost-effective solution, designing and building a 5m x 3m 20 tonne capacity wheeled platform that is attachable to and steerable by a fork lift truck.

Movetech UK expands workforce by 25%

Movetech UK is investing in the future by expanding its workforce from 12 to 15, a massive 25% increase in personnel. The latest to join the team are Adam Gastall, engineering apprentice, of Little Lever, Bolton, Michael Stephenson, turntable technician, from Great Harwood near Blackburn, and Matt Horrocks, marketing assistant, who hales from Wigan.

When Emerson Lake and Palmer took to the stage in their 40th anniversary year at London’s Victoria Park on 25th July – the first time they have played together in 10 years - Movetech UK also took centre stage in the reunion spectacular, billed as the climax to the weekend’s inaugural High Voltage Festival.

Movetech UK lights up Litecraft

Movetech UK are helping Oldham-based national lighting specialists, Litecraft, light up their stores by supplying ceiling mounted revolves to attract attention to some of their most spectacular chandeliers. More than 50 revolves have now been fitted throughout their 16 stores nationwide, and more are planned for the future as the programme rolls out further.

Movetech UK keeps the enemies close

Movetech UK (the new name for British Turntable) is at the centre of the BBC Children’s game show, ‘Keep Your Enemies Close’, supplying a 3 metre diameter revolving stage with bespoke electronics for each of the two series to date. The Mixer, as it is called, is an integral part of the show and is the main visual element of the set.
