Shop In Shop Movement Attracts Attention

Retail Effects of Leicester have created a number of attractive in-store displays for Tag Heuer watches using B200 turntables from British Turntable to add more excitement and appeal to the displays.

The Texaco filling station at Manchester's Trafford Centre is enjoying a high profile thanks to a revolving sign designed by Street Design of Manchester and installed by the Pearce Group using a revolving sign mechanism from British Turntable Co. A revolving sign was chosen for its visibility from the nearby M60 motorway, the filling station being otherwise obscured by other buildings and direction signs to the Centre. After looking at various options, an image of a sign in the United States was found that matched Texaco's requirements for the Trafford site. This tall fixed circular sign was then adapted to revolve to make it even more conspicuous.

An exhibition stand designed and built in the USA for north American trade shows and incorporating a bar revolving on a 4.5m diameter unit supplied by British Turntable has won a gold design award at the USA's Exhibitor Magazine's 15th Annual awards. The 60'x70' island stand, which was fabricated for cable TV network company, Rainbow Media Holdings by British Turntable customers, Freddie Georges Production Group (FGPG) of Garden Grove, California, 'reflects the judges' preference for clean, innovative design that clearly transmits clients' messages', according to the American trade publication, Exhibitor Magazine.

Design for Success and its sister publication, Reveal for Heritage and Leisure, cover everything from display to moving visitors through multi-media presentations to revolving signage. The focus is on creating a dynamic, living environment by using simple rotary or linear movement.

New Carousel Range Increases Display Options

British Turntable Co has launched their new Carousel range of display turntables with a series of colourful leaflets demonstrating how movement adds value to merchandise and increases sales. The leaflets, which include hints and tips on using movement effectively, cover mains operated turntables with diameters up to 3 metres and carrying capacities up to 700kg. Ceiling mounted units for suspended displays and signs are also included for loads up to 227kg.
