Movetech UK is keeping new entrants to the barge-building market, Boats by Pendlewood, out of deep water by enabling the company to manoeuvre long, 15 tonne barges into new premises that are inaccessible by truck. The solution, JUNG machinery skates, has allowed Pendlewood to realise a long dreamed of ambition to create unique, bespoke vessels that break the mould of traditional narrow boat design.

Movetech UK puts Olly Murs in a spin

Movetech UK recently put X-Factor runner-up, Olly Murs, in a spin when filming the video for his latest single, Heart skips a beat, by supplying and setting up a 6 metre diameter revolving stage for Olly and rapping duo, Rizzle Kicks, to perform on. The location, a skate park at Mile End, was chosen to add urban edge and community interest in the shoot.
Movetech UK appoints new sales co-ordinator

Movetech UK has appointed an internal sales co-ordinator to provide additional support and service to customers and to assist the sales manager on catalogue and standard product sales. Polish-born Kamil Winogrodzki, whose family has lived in Bolton for the past five years, will be responsible for helping customers choose the correct model from Movetech UK’s extensive product range and ensure they receive the best possible pricing and delivery package.

A variable speed turntable from Movetech UK has helped Linx Printing Technologies create a mini production line on their stand at Interpack, Europe’s biggest packaging exhibition, held in Düsseldorf, Germany.

The rental team at Movetech UK has successfully completed the first phase of a project for English National Opera, supplying and installing a revolving stage at the Young Vic for the world-famous Opera’s annual residence at the theatre. This year’s production, the rarely performed Monteverdi opera, The Return of Ulysses, has enjoyed rave reviews for its staging.
Renting a revolving stage just got easier

Movetech UK has just made renting a revolving stage easier by extending the range available and increasing stocking levels. Revolving stages are now available from 1m to 33m in diameter, and the standard rental range has been further extended by adding more annular ring revolves, double ring revolves and scissor lifts. All revolving stages are fully programmable via DMX control if required.
Movetech UK turns up at Le Mans Motorsport Festival

Movetech UK turned up at the Le Mans Motorsport Festival in Bolton at the request of the event’s main sponsors, the University of Bolton, to help attract attention to a Keating Supercar by revolving it on an automotive turntable in the main show arena in front of the Town Hall. Held during the Le Mans 24 Hour Race weekend, the Festival is one of the largest free motorsports shows in the UK and was initiated to celebrate the town twinning links Bolton and Le Mans have enjoyed since 1973.

Girls in a spin with Movetech UK

When the rental team at Movetech UK was asked by Equinox TV to provide a revolving stage for a new CSL TV commercial, little did they realise that it would involve a 21 hour working day building the stage outside mostly in sub-zero temperatures. But the team showed they were no couch potatoes and stepped up to the plate, fulfilling all the client’s requirements, and more, leaving Equinox to produce a stunning commercial that broke the mould of traditional furniture store advertising.

Leading Italian car rental firm turns to Movetech UK

A revolving stage from Movetech UK has helped one of Italy’s leading car rental firms, Maggiore SpA, create a stunning focal point for their 2011 conference and succeed in their aim to encourage and motivate attendees. Movetech UK’s distributors in Italy, Idealpark, took care of all the details, working with Maggiore’s marketing and events agency, V2000, to ensure that the right stage was hired for the event and that delivery and installation were completed on time.

Boat Show spin for Movetech UK

When Codex International Exhibitions needed a large turntable for the London Boat Show to make a dummy boat spin and inflate the sails, they turned to Movetech UK to make it happen. The result was a stand that attracted hundreds of visitors throughout the run of the show and impressed everyone who saw it.
Movetech UK wows customers at Williams BMW

Two 5 metre diameter revolves from Movetech UK have created the wow factor for customers of the Williams BMW dealership in Bolton. Unusually, the turntables are not being used to draw attention to new models in the showroom. Instead they have been installed in the car collection area, where customers are stunned to find their new pride and joy gently turning and ready to be driven off.
Movetech UK helps Polyurethane Progress back on track

When Polyurethane Progress lost their materials handling turntables in a fire at their Wakefield plant in 2010, Movetech UK came to the rescue by supplying two replacement floor mounted manual turntables. And, in order to get Polyurethane Progress quickly back to work, Movetech UK pulled out all the stops to get the turntables built and delivered in super-quick time.

Movetech UK win Park and Slide distribution rights

Movetech UK has been awarded exclusive rights to distribute the sliding car parking system, Park and Slide, across the UK. Twenty countries in mainland Europe are also included in the distribution rights, including France, Germany, Holland and Spain. Based in Bolton with a depot in Loughton, Essex, the turntable manufacturer and movement specialists will be seeking to extend their existing distribution network, which is already active in marketing and selling the company’s standard range of display and industrial turntables across the UK and Europe.

Movetech UK Max out with Mansfields

When the Movetech UK rental team was commissioned by Mansfields to help launch the new Ford C-MAX in Nice, France, it was not just to supply the movement. The project included installation of the revolving stage, building the set, striking the set at the end of the run, dismantling the turntable and helping wherever needed.
