Photogenic Princess Graces Window Display
A specially-adapted Princess PR4 turntable supplied by British Turntable Co. has created an eye-catching, space-saving window display for Guernsey photographic outlet, Gruts.
Smith Signs, also of Guernsey, recommended and bought the unit on behalf of Gruts when they recognised the potential of a moving window display to attract customers into the store. The Princess PR4 has allowed Gruts to group a number of different-sized photographic items together in an aesthetically pleasing way, adding interest by rotating them.
Sheila Count of Smith Signs says, "Gruts are delighted with the effect, and we are impressed with the way in which British Turntable responded to our request for a non-standard unit - indeed it was no trouble to them at all. The result is very pleasing: the display is attractive to look at, and it was also very cost-effective to create."
To meet Gruts' specific needs, the Princess PR4 was supplied with 300mm, 350mm and 400mm diameter shelves instead of the standard 600mm, and with a 300mm diameter cover for the base. As the shelves are fully adjustable, Gruts will be able to change the display regularly to show photographic items of different heights, for special offers or to create seasonal promotions.
At the same time, the store should also benefit from the increased sales that movement at the point of sale can generate - more than 30% over a static display, according to research conducted by POPAI (Point of Purchase Advertising International).
Princess turntables, with their fully adjustable safety glass shelves, provide a stylish and attractive display medium for different products of varying heights, and are particularly well-suited to show off fine porcelain, lead crystal jewellery and giftware to their full potential. The standard range encompasses four basic models, including a ceiling-mounted unit, and quarter shelves can also be provided for even greater flexibility in designing a display.
British Turntable has been creating movement for the retail industry for more than 40 years and is accredited to ISO 9001. Further information can be obtained from Phil Childs, tel: +44 (0)1204 525626, fax: +44 (0)1204 382407, e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org.
