Point of Sale Gets the Boot
Umbro football boots are attracting attention across the UK, thanks to attractive point of sale display units incorporating some of British Turntable's smaller revolves.
No fewer than 350 PSBT 1.5 units were bought by Face Edge, who manufactured the point of sale display units, to create eye-catching revolving displays for high street sports and department stores across the country. Concealed in the base of the display, the revolve turns the boot on its toe, lending the unit greater visibility and helping to generate sales of the well-known brand.
Tim Craze of Face Edge comments."We use revolving displays for all sorts of products. Moving displays always attract more attention and comment than static displays, and our clients are very happy with the way we've added life to a small point of sale unit. British Turntable have always been very helpful and we've been extremely pleased with the service they've given us."
Research conducted by POPAi (Point of Purchasing Advertising International) indicates that sales can be increased by more than 30% when adding movement to a static display, which is why discerning retailers turn to movement when introducing special promotions and to move discontinued or redundant stock. "Customers will be drawn to a moving display more quickly," says John Entwistle, Managing Director of British Turntable, "so it's a very powerful and cost-effective sales tool."
