Revolving Window Displays Attract Sales
Venetia Glass is finding that revolving glass ornaments and sculptures in the window of teh Lyndhurst, Hampshire outlet is stopping passers-by in their tracks and encouraging them into the shop to browse.
Owner, Sue Armstrong bought the four units from British Turntable Co. on personal recommendation. And as Venetia Glass shares space with teddies and soft toy shop, Paws in the Forest, the turntables are proving to be a double benefit. Two battery operated revolves are used in the window itself, while two mains powered turntables are used inside the shop. "We're absolutely thrilled with teh effect they have on passers-by," comments Sue Armstrong. "They really do work at getting customers through the door. And we're very impressed with the turntables' reliability. We've not even had to replace the batteries in the window units yet, even though they're used 24 hours a day 7 days a week; they're a permanent moving advertisement for our most precious merchandise."
Sue Armstrong's experience of her moving displays attracting customers bears out POPAI research that shows that movement at the point of purchase has the power to increase sales by more than 30%. WIth over 100 standard products in its small display and point of purchase portfolio, British Turntable is therefore opening up a huge array of possibilities to retailers wishing to maximise profits by using reliable, versatile and cost-effective display products.
