Rock on with British Turntable

British Turntable is helping to give rock icons a turn in Blackpool thanks to innovative design by leisure venue refurbishment specialists, Eclipse Developments UK Ltd, who specified a number of British Turntable revolves for the new Rock Factory exhibition at Louis Tussauds Waxworks.

Elvis, Robbie Williams, Cher and Frank Sinatra are just some of the celebrity wax figures found revolving at Leisure Parc's famous leisure venue. Movement is used as a key theme in the exhibition to create a welcoming and inviting environment and allow visitors to view from all angles the fine artistry and craftsmanship employed in fashioning the lifelike models.

Continuing with the movement theme, turntables have also been used to create a representation of cogs revolving, while a grand piano turns elegantly on the largest of the turntables used, a Midi Carousel. The show is an excellent example of the way in which several different movement units can be integrated to create a really special and evocative display. Rob Knighton of Eclipse Developments and Jon Sheehy of Leisure Parcs are both delighted with the effect, which, they say "adds style and an extra dimension to the visitor experience by bringing the waxworks to life."

The units used - four B200 units, five Mini Carousels and the Midi Carousel - were sourced from British Turntable's standard range of display turntables, which now numbers more than 100 units in diameters from as small as 83mm up to 10m. Many items are available for hire for short-term exhibitions or shows, while battery-powered options are also available for optimum versatility; all are robust and reliable to offer many years of trouble-free service.
