Turning on the Audience to Launch New Car

British Turntable has helped Mansfields create a spectacular car launch for Ford Motor Company in Italy by hiring out a revolving stage to keep the audience turning in the right direction and generate excitement in the new Ford Focus.

The London office of British Turntable worked closely with their previous customers, Mansfields, to ensure that the correct revolve was chosen for the hire period of two months. With the objective being to accommodate up to 40 journalists and dealers on raked seating mounted on the revolve, and the room size, cars and accessories to take into consideration, an 8 metre diameter unit was recommended and accepted.

A soft start and stop facility with remote control was also fitted by British Turntable to allow the audience to follow the presenters round as they demonstrated five different design and safety aspects of the new model. By incorporating remote control facilities in this way maximum flexibility was built into the launch, allowing questions to be asked and discussions to take place at every stage.

British Turntable engineers installed the revolve at a hotel complex in Siena, Tuscany, where it was used successfully for a period of two months before the engineers returned to dismantle and remove the unit at the end of the hire period.
