Turntable Fires Up Sales

When fireplace specialists, Petra Hellas, hired a turntable from British Turntable for the National Hearth & Home Show in Harrogate, little did they realise what impact the movement would have on visitors to the exhibition and ultimately to their post-show sales.

The turntable, a 2m diameter revolving stage, allowed Petra Hellas to present three fireplaces in an area that would usually be dedicated to just one. The feature also caused considerable comment from visitors. David Walkden of Petra Hellas is very enthusiastic about the effectiveness of the revolve. "It really made people stop and look," he says. "It reduced our overall space costs by allowing us to show more products in a smaller area, but the major benefit is that it also increased our sales on those products.

The revolving stage was chosen from British Turntable's standard range of display turntable products for its versatility, reliability and stability. Available off-the-shelf in diameters up to 10m, the 2m stage offers a carrying capacity, evenly distributed, of loads up to 1000kg in weight.
