Hovair Air Film Technology

Hovair Systems’ air film technology allows you to make light work of moving large, heavy and awkward loads in any direction. Objects of almost any size or weight can be moved in any direction with ease and precision. There are few moving parts, ensuring that reliability and ease of maintenance is built in. Air film technology is the application of compressed air to virtually eliminate friction, allowing very large loads to be moved with relatively little effort.

Applications

Air bearings are most commonly incorporated into three types of equipment: air skates, transporters and turntables. These are used in a variety of applications across a broad spectrum of commerce and industry including:

  • the assembly of aircraft components
  • the movement of heavy equipment such as diesel engines, generators and large paper reels
  • the movement of theatre / conference venue seating, stage equipment and scenery
